The Tambe Institute (TiB) is located in Molyko, Buea (100m from Malingo junction), and is owned by the seasoned Ophthalmologist, Dr. Emmanuel Arrey TAMBE, who is a Medical Doctor specialized in Ophthalmology and superspecialized in Vitro-Retinal Surgery.

Dr Emmanuel Arrey Tambe studied medicine at Charité Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany, and then completed an Ophthalmology Residency at the University of Nairobi, Kenya. In addition, he has been trained in Vitreous and Retinal surgery at the University of Alberta, Canada, as well as in Bremen, Germany.

He has been a Practicing Ophthalmologist in Cameroon since 1998 and was one time Chief Medical Officer of Mbingo Baptist Hospital with the Cameroon Baptist Convention. He is a member of the Cameroon Society of Ophthalmology, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the European Vitro Retinal Society.

He is currently the owner and Managing Director of the Dr Tambe Eye Clinic and Specialized Medical Services (DTEC-SMS), which is located in Bomaka, Buea.

With this rich background, he has decided to dedicate himself to training future professionals through the Tambe Institute of Buea, ensuring continuity and a sustainable supply of competent and enthusiastic eye care professionals.
